Mallanna Katha

Mallanna with his companions Golla Kethamma, goddess Ganga and Medalamma, goddess Parvati are at the main temple. Oggu Katha's singers sing Mallanna's katha here. The devotees pray at Mallanna with the help of Oggu Pujaris who draws a rangoli called Patnam (a form of offering to the Lord) in front of Lord Mallanna inside the temple and also on the temple veranda.

A large number of worshipers visit the Mallanna temple during Maha Shivaratri, during the celebration of Pedda Patnam, and at the Agni Gundaalu, celebrated on the Sunday before Ugadi. The holiday season, called Jatara, begins in Sankranti and lasts until Ugadi. A large number of worshipers offer prayers to the deity every Sunday, which is between Sankranti and Ugadi.

Another temple, Konda Pochamma Temple, is nearby and is visited by worshipers visiting Mallanna Temple.
